The CO.VI.O business - Cardeto

It is the label of the wines of the wine-growing and wine-producing cooperative in the area of Orvieto (CO.VI.O).

The name derives from the area where the hemp grown in the surrounding lands where the up-to-date cellar rises today was once carded.

The new cellar of Cardeto wines was founded in Cardeto in September 1991 and it has about 1,200 hectares of white vineyards, mainly.
Almost all of them are of DOC Orvieto Classico (most of the production) and DOC Orvieto. It has almost 400 partners who have been producing wine for many generations and 700,000 bottles are bottled with the CARDETO label here.
